[ARCHIVED] Transit alert: Better bus stops headed to N Broadway

transit

EVERETT, WA – Construction of Everett Transit’s N Broadway Improvement Project begins this week, starting with the four bus stops between 34th Street and Pacific Avenue.

The project creates new bus “bulbs” that extend the sidewalk into the parking lane at bus stops between 34th Street near the YWCA and Tower Street near Everett Community College.  Most of the bus bulbs will include a new shelter, bench, bike rack, and garbage can.

Construction is expected to last for up to six months, with each stop taking two to four weeks to complete.  As bus bulbs are completed, the construction contractor will move north. Normal work hours are expected to be 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, and some work may be done on Saturdays and Sundays to lessen the impact on businesses.
