Everett Animal Services invites community members to attend the Animal Shelter Advisory Board meeting this Wednesday, July 25, at 5:30 p.m. to provide feedback about proposed modifications to some of the shelter’s fees. Revenue from the fees helps cover the Animal Shelter’s operating costs of caring for approximately 5000 animals each year. The proposal includes changes to certain reclaim fees, cremation fees, commercial facility permit fee and the Dangerous Dog registration fee. Copies of the fee revision proposal are available at the Animal Shelter and online at www.everettwa.gov/shelterfeeproposal. Following the public meeting, Animal Services will present the final determination to City Council.
NOTE: Everett Municipal Code 6.04.100 provides for a formal review process when fees are administratively established and changed. A public meeting and comment period is part of this process.
The meeting will be held at the Everett Animal Shelter, 333 Smith Island Road, Everett, WA 98201. Community members are asked to limit their comments at the meeting to three minutes. For more information, contact Animal Services Director Glynis Frederiksen at 425-257-6013 or via email: gfrederiksen@everettwa.gov.
