EVERETT – Detectives with the Major Crimes Unit are investigating an overnight shooting that hospitalized a juvenile male.
At about 11:30 pm last night, officers were dispatched to the 1900 block of 122nd St SE on reports of a loud party. Arriving officers found about 150 people, mostly juveniles, at a large house party and shut the event down. At about 12:45pm, 911 received reports of gunfire at the El Capitan Park & Ride (2020 El Capitan Way). Arriving officers found a large group of juveniles. Witnesses said the group moved to the location after leaving the house party and a fight started during which multiple gunshots were fired
A 17 year-old male was transported to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett for a gunshot wound sustained at the Park & Ride. The male’s current condition is unknown, but his injures are believed to be non-life threatening.
No other injuries were reported.
Major Crimes Unit detectives are investigating the shooting.
