The City of Everett Animal Services is providing proposed fee modifications for public review and comment. Revenue from the fees helps cover the Animal Shelter’s operating costs of caring for approximately 5000 animals each year. The proposal includes changes to certain reclaim fees, cremation fees, commercial facility permit fee and the Dangerous Dog registration fee. Copies of the fee revision proposal are available at the Animal Shelter and online at www.everettwa.gov/shelterfeeproposal.
The public comment period is from June 15, 2018 through July 15, 2018. Comment forms are available at the Animal Shelter. Written comments can also be mailed to: Glynis Frederiksen, Everett Animal Services, 333 Smith Island Rd., Everett, WA 98201 or via email to: gfrederiksen@everettwa.gov.
A public meeting will be held on July 25, 2018 at 5:30 pm at the Animal Shelter. Community members are invited to attend and provide comments on the fee proposal. Following the comment period and public meeting, Animal Services will present the final determination to City Council.
NOTE: Everett Municipal Code 6.04.100 provides for a formal review process when fees are administratively established and changed. A public meeting and comment period is part of this process.
