[ARCHIVED] Female shot in Everett

EVERETT – The Everett Police Department is currently investigating a shooting incident that hospitalized a juvenile female.

At about 1:00 a.m. this morning, officers were dispatched to the intersection of California St and Cedar St after 911 received reports that a female had been shot. Arriving officers found a 17 year-old female victim with gunshot injuries. Initial reports indicated two white males were seen running from the scene and were believed to be involved. The area was contained and a police K-9 search was initiated but no suspects were located.

The female was transported to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett and is believed to be in serious condition.

Detectives with the Major Crimes Unit have responded and are investigating the incident. They have collected evidence and are working to interview potential witnesses.

There is no additional suspect information available at this time.
