The City's Citizens Commission on Salaries of Elected Officials meet to adopt a salary schedule for City of Everett elected officials. The commission meets every other year and is required to complete its work by the first week in May. The salary commission will reconvene early 2021.
The Commission gathered for the very first time in January 1997 as a result of a recommendation by the Everett Charter Review Committee and subsequent approval of voters in the November 1996 general election.

Responsibilities
The Commission is charged with reviewing and establishing the salaries of the city's elected officials, who include 7 City Council members, the Mayor and 2 Municipal Court Judges.
