Civil Service Commission


Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Civil Service Commission is currently meeting in a hybrid format, with in-person or Microsoft Teams attendance options available. The public can submit public comment and/or tune in to the meeting remotely by contacting Human Resources at prior to the meeting.

Regular Meetings

Civil Service meetings are held on the fourth Thursday of every month at 9:30 a.m. in the Everett Human Resources Department, located at 2930 Wetmore Avenue, 5th floor.

About the Civil Service Commission

The charter established the Civil Service Commission to oversee the administration of specific charter provisions relating to city employment. The Civil Service Commission provides for the classification of all employees except the following:

  • Seasonal Help
  • Municipal Court
  • Library
  • Appointive Officers
