Celebrating 1% for the arts

Everett was one of the first cities in the United States to adopt a percent-for-art ordinance in 1974.

The program specifies that 1% of eligible city capital improvement project funds be set aside for the commission, purchase and installation of artwork.

The City's public art collection engages the community in creativity throughout the city, sparking conversation, an appreciation of the arts and enriching lives.
