18th Street Pedestrian Improvements

Active Connections: California Street
This project will create a comfortable corridor for people biking, rolling and walking (also known as “active modes”) on California Street, connecting downtown Everett with the US 2 trail.

Active Connections: Fleming Bicycle Corridor
This project will construct a new north/south bicycle boulevard on Federal Avenue, College Avenue and Fleming Street from Madison Street to the pedestrian and bicycle overpass of Mukilteo Boulevard at Forest Park.

Active Connections: Madison Street
This proposed project would build one-way buffered bike lanes along the curb of both sides of Madison Street as a part of the 2023 street resurfacing project.

Edgewater Bridge Replacement
The new replacement bridge structure will include two vehicle travel lanes, bike lanes and sidewalks on both sides.

Everett Mall Way - 4th Ave. to East Mall Dr. Intersection Safety
This project will improve intersection safety along Everett Mall Way, from 4th Ave. to East Mall Dr.

Evergreen Pump Station Modification Project
The Evergreen Pump Station Modification project is for the construction of several improvements to the existing pump station that shares a site with Reservoir 3, located at 6107 Evergreen Way.

Evergreen Way at 79th ADA Improvements
This project will upgrade existing pedestrian facilities at Evergreen Way and 79th Place SE to current ADA standards.

Grand Avenue Utilities Replacement
This project will replace aging cast iron watermain having higher than normal break frequency between 19th Street and Hewitt Avenue, replace 100 year old & undersized sanitary sewer between 19th Street and Everett Avenue, install new storm drain pipe to remove stormwater from the sanitary sewer system between 19th Street & Everett Avenue and replace existing street with new curbs, gutters and asphalt pavement.

Grand Avenue Park Bridge
This will be a multi-purpose bridge that will provide an above-ground utility crossing and a pedestrian crossing between the park and the waterfront.

Redevelopment of the former Kimberley Clark industrial wastewater treatment plant to provide temporary detention and control of urban stormwater and combined sewer overflows.

Replacing a 100+ year old, seismically vulnerable in-ground water reservoir with two 2.5 million gallon prestressed concrete cylindrical reservoirs.

SEI to SRI Intertie Project
The Southend Interceptor to Snohomish River Interceptor Intertie and SRO8 (Snohomish River Outfall 8) Rehabilitation are in the vicinity of 36th Street and Riverfront Blvd. The intertie will be a new section of sewer mainline installed to enable better operability of the City’s sewer system. The SRO8 Rehabilitation will slipline the existing outfall pipe built in 1914 to prevent its further deterioration.

Summer Street Paving in Everett
Street resurfacing is scheduled at various locations in Everett beginning Monday, June 5, and continuing through July. Crews will grind down and remove old pavement, install new traffic detection wires, and repave and restripe the roadway.
