Mayor's Task Force

Mayors Drug Crisis Task Force

Overview

In October 2023, Everett Mayor Cassie Franklin announced the creation of a new task force that will focus on the city’s urgent drug crisis—specifically related to fentanyl, meth and other deadly illegal substances—and its impacts on community safety. The task force includes the brightest minds, including leading service providers, business leaders, essential government partners at the city, county and state levels, the faith-based community, community members, those with lived experience and subject matter experts.

Mission Statement

Through education, collaboration and conversation, the task force will gain a better understanding of the impact, barriers and complexities of the drug crisis in Everett. Based on learnings, the task force will develop next steps or recommendations for the City and its partners to consider.
