Multiuse Facility Fiscal Advisory Committee

  • A rigorous evaluation of the financial implications, potential revenue streams, cost benefit analysis and funding mechanisms associated with the remodeling or construction of the Everett Aquasox's stadium.
  • Analysis of alternative financing models, potential public-private partnerships and the allocation of resources to maximize the return on investment for the community and stakeholders. 

Potential members of the committee will be evaluated for their expertise and experience in finance, economics, accounting, public policy, tourism, or related fields. The composition shall reflect diversity in perspectives, backgrounds, and expertise.

The committee shall serve in an advisory capacity, providing recommendations and expert advice to Mayor Franklin and city council members. It will promote and encourage public engagement and education on fiscal matters related to the stadium project. The committee shall operate for the majority of one year, or until the stadium project and financing plans have been approved by city council. 

The committee recognizes the significance of this venture beyond sports entertainment, acknowledging its potential widespread economic impact on the local community and tourism, as well as its potential to enhancement civic pride. Balancing these visions with fiscal responsibility is essential and requires comprehensive fiscal analysis and guidance to ensure responsible investment of taxpayer resources and long-term financial viability.
