Greenhouse gas emissions are changing the climate in ways that threaten the vitality, livability and prosperity of the Everett community. We’re already experiencing climate impacts such as extreme weather events, including record high and low temperatures; droughts; unusual levels of rain and snowfall; increased wildfires; and more.
In January 2020, the Everett City Council adopted a Climate Action Plan, which provides a strategic roadmap and menu of climate actions the City can take to reduce emissions and prepare for climate change in the City. This plan builds and expands on previous work.
