Found Pets

ALL SERVICES ARE BY APPOINTMENT ONLY, INCLUDING ANIMAL RECEIVING.

Did you find a pet?

If you’ve found a pet, please view the list below of jurisdictions contracted with our shelter to see if we are the right shelter. If you’ve found a pet in one of these areas, by law you should notify EAS by submitting an online Found Report. We also recommend you post information on local lost dog and cat Facebook groups, Petco Love LostNextDoor and other online options as soon as possible, check with local veterinary hospitals and also post large visible signs in the area the animal was found. Many times this is the best way to get the pet back home.

If you can keep the pet while looking for the owner but need pet food or other supplies, indicate this on the found report. If you are unable to keep the animal while looking for its owner, submit a found report to make arrangements to bring the pet to us. Our shelter operates by appointment only. Please do not bring the pet to us without contacting us first.

If you found a cat, please read our Community Cats page.

If you would like to check the status of a found pet you brought to the shelter that is no longer listed on the found pets page, please call or email us.
