After you've taken care of yourself and your family, you may want to help your community. Here are some ways that you can get involved.
CERT Member
Become a Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) member and learn basic response skills such as light search and rescue, medical operations and fire suppression. Learn more and find class schedules at the Everett CERT page.
Map Your Neighborhood
Conduct a Map Your Neighborhood session in your area. Prepare for a disaster with your neighbors by identifying capabilities, skills and vulnerabilities so you can effectively and collectively respond. To learn more or arrange a meeting in your neighborhood, visit the Washington State Map Your Neighborhood Page.
Connect with Your Neighborhood Association
Everett is divided into 19 neighborhoods, each of which has its own Neighborhood Association. As independent entities, these associations work to enhance their neighborhoods, support participation in city government, and foster a greater sense of community among Everett residents.
Many Everett neighborhoods are working on radio communication hubs and disaster supply caches. Call your Neighborhood Leader, attend a monthly meeting, find out what's happening in your area. Visit the Everett Office of Neighborhood's webpage to find out more!
