The Advisory Board consists of 5 members from the City of Everett, all of whom were appointed or reappointed earlier in 2013.
The City of Everett Community Development Entity (CDE), LLC Advisory Board is a volunteer board appointed by the mayor and approved by City Council. New Market Tax Credits are intended to spur investment in low income communities and specifically in economically distressed census tracts. In November 2009, the city received $25 million in New Markets Tax Credits from the U.S. Treasury to foster private development. The CDE is a limited liability company (City of Everett CDE LLC), which is wholly owned and controlled by the city and the CDE Advisory Board serves solely in an advisory capacity.
