Mitigate future property damage due to intense rainfall experienced historically in the 3500 block of Wetmore Avenue.

Project Description

Phase 1: The City completed construction of a 2-block stormwater bypass and drainage improvement that will accommodate higher capacity stormwater flows. The 30-inch storm drainage pipe was installed between Wetmore and Oakes on 35th Street, south of downtown Everett. Construction crews are currently restoring the roadway, with project completion expected by early December. Following phase 1 of this project, work will commence on 35th for the Water S project. See the Water S project webpage for more information.

Phase 2: City crews will also replace and upsize approximately 285 feet of sewer main in the alley between Wetmore and Rockefeller, south of 35th. This work will include reconnecting side sewers to the new main. City crews will also install 130 feet of new storm drain line on Wetmore Ave, south of 35th.
