Pedestrian Facilities in the Public ROW

The City of Everett Public Works Department is responsible for the following pedestrian facilities in the public right-of-way, that are within the Everett city limits, complying with the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA): 

  • Curb ramps
  • Sidewalks
  • Pedestrian crossings
  • Pedestrian signals and pushbuttons
  • Alternate pedestrian facilities in work zones

Grievance Procedure 

The City of Everett is required by the ADA to establish a grievance procedure.This procedure may be used to file a complaint alleging discrimination on the basis of disability in the provision of the programs, services, or activities by the City of Everett Public Works related to pedestrian facilities in the public right-of-way. 

Prior to filing a grievance, please contact Public Works to seek an equitable and timely resolution to your complaints.

Self-Evaluation Study

In 2011, Public Works began an extensive evaluation of its pedestrian facility program to determine if it was complying with the requirements of the ADA. The data was compiled in 2016 and will be digitized and made available on this webpage. Contents include:
