Asset Mapping With Your Neighbors

Discover the interests, talents and potential in our community by joining the City of Everett Office of Neighborhoods and Community Engagement and fellow community members for a free asset mapping workshop presented by Jim Diers, neighborhood advocate and community activator.
  • Saturday, February 3, 2018
  • 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Doors open at 9 a.m.
  • At Evergreen Middle School, 7621 Beverly Lane
  • Register here!
  • Share the event flyer with friends and neighbors

All are welcome to participate in this all-day workshop on asset mapping. Diers will share stories from around the world and lead participants through an exercise known as asset mapping, where participants will explore the process of identifying the skills, talents, and interests of people, and those physical resources in a community or neighborhood, such as meeting rooms, commercial kitchens or play fields.

Workshop participants will have an opportunity to:

  • Meet new neighbors and network with community members
  • Envision stronger communities and discuss what they want for their own neighborhoods
  • Learn about recognizing and tapping the capacity within the Everett community
  • Begin mapping resources and assets within the area
  • Develop an action plan for implementing that project utilizing their assets
