Snohomish County Courthouse Addition

City Council approved an amendment to the Snohomish County Campus master plan and development agreement to allow a building addition to the existing Snohomish County Courthouse at their public hearing on November 8, 2017.

The project will involve the construction of a new approximately 30,000 square foot entry tower (five stories plus partial basement) attached to the north side of the existing 1967 Snohomish County Courthouse, and renovation of approximately 54,000 square feet within the existing courthouse.


On August 1, 2017 the City issued an Addendum (PDF) to the Final Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement (SEIS) for the Snohomish County Courthouse Modernization Project.

A Planning Commission public hearing was held on October 3, 2017 to consider plans for an addition to the Snohomish County Courthouse, located at 3000 Rockefeller Avenue. Planning Commission recommended approval of the proposed amendment to the County Campus master plan. (Resolution #17-09 (PDF))
