Park Safety

Take time to enjoy the parks all year round. Here are a few tips to make your visit more enjoyable:

  • Park hours are from 6 a.m. - dusk.
  • The use of alcohol in parks is prohibited by city ordinance and is strictly enforced.
  • Drive safely in the parks. Watch for children and wildlife crossing the park roadways. The speed limit is 15 mph and traffic congestion can occur.
  • Prevent theft by locking your vehicles. Lock valuables in the trunk or leave them at home. Do not leave your purse or wallet on or under your car seat.
  • Do not leave children unattended. Parks and playgrounds can be very busy.
  • Keep pets on a leash (no longer than 10 feet) and in your control at all times. (See off-leash pet areas).
  • Do not feed ducks, geese, squirrels and other small creatures. Doing so trains wildlife to rely on humans for support and to give up their natural food sources.
  • Large recreation equipment such as a dunk tank, moon walk/bounce house, miniature trains, etc. are not permitted in any Everett park.
  • Fireworks or other combustion consumer products are not to be used in parks. This includes audible devices, aerial devices, and material devices (such as powder/smoke bombs).
  • Glitter, confetti, rice, and birdseed are not allowed in parks.
  • What to do when you find a needle Free kits for needle disposal are available at Snohomish Health District, 3020 Rucker Avenue, Everett.
