What We Do

The Everett Police Department is a dynamic agency with just under 250 sworn officers and civilians who handle a myriad of tasks every day. The units below specialize in different areas to assist the public and solve crimes.
  1. Crime Prevention

The Crime Prevention Unit works proactively with Everett’s citizens to decrease crime and increase community awareness through education.

  2. Customer Service Unit

The Customer Service Unit services the community by supporting the Patrol Division and providing rapid responses to citizens who have called 911 for non-emergency services.

  3. Investigations

The Investigations Division works to bring to justice all those who, by their deeds, would attempt to bring harm to our community.

  4. Patrol Operations

The Patrol Division works in partnership with the community to improve quality of life and reduce crime by consistently delivering quality customer service for citizens, neighborhoods and businesses while being the most visible police presence in the community. Patrol officers conduct investigations of crimes, allegations of criminal conduct and are highly trained and adept at responding to all types of calls for service.

  5. Property & Evidence Unit

The property room is in charge of handling all found property, property for safekeeping, property for disposal and evidence from criminal cases.

  6. Specialty Units

This team is charged with targeting and suppressing selective street level crime problems within the city through the use of specialized enforcement methods.
